Hills.  The Munros are all done, so how about some Corbetts and cycling and distilleries?

  Previously - 19
2016        - 26
2017        - 17
2018        - 16
2019        -  24
2020       -     13
2021       -       22 so 84 left.  So about four more years to go at this year's rate.  Being locked down limited adventures in 2020 and the start of 2021, so maybe before I am 65 is realistic.

First hill of 2021 was Gairbeinn at Melgrave on 16 April - good start and nice to see the Corrieyairack Pass.

And the next Friday saw hill two - Beinn Bhreac  a really long one.

On May 2nd I went up Beinn an Lochain, on route to see my Dad.  Nice wee hill.

And on 22 May I got out again, great day up Fraochaidh.  Long walk!

At the very end of May I was camping up Glen Elchaig and got up Aonach Buidhe, Sguman Coinntich and Faochaig, and Sgurr Gaorsaic - fantastic few days.

On 10th June I did Geal Charn (without Shauna and Megan) and Carn Dearg Mor, and Leathad an Taobhain the next day.

Later in June we had a holiday in Scourie, and I managed time out to do Cranstackie and Beinn Spoinnaidh, Glas Bheinn and Ben Leoid.  Plenty more still to cover up there.

In July we had a heatwave so I stupidly headed up to Poolewe and conquered Beinn Airigh Charr and Beinn Dearg Mor and Beinn Dearg Bheag.  Had hoped to do more, and though I survived the heat won!

August was a write off, but in September I managed an overnight near Easter Ross (I think), and got up Carn Chuinneag one day and Carn Ban the next.  Want some more nights out before it gets too wintery.

Had to wait until December for the chance to get out and up Braigh nan Uamhachan, which was a bit cloudy!  And then a couple of weeks later I managed to fit in Beinn a'Bha'ach Ard, which was a better day.  Bring on 2022.

All the Corbetts I have done :-

According to Mark's 1996 book there were 219 Corbetts, but I know Beinn a' Chlaidheimh was downgraded from a Munro in 2012 (after I had scaled it), and Sgurr nan Ceannaichean was downgraded in 2009 (one I still need to do).  Wikipedia, Steven Fallon, Munro Magic and I therefore all agree 221 is the total number I have to do.

Arran

Also another Pap of Jura

And some completely unrelated music clips I seem to have created a page for?

(and thanks to Rob Milne and Hamish Brown and the Scottish Mountaineering Club, whose book I have shamelessly cribbed from for the structure and maps found here.)
