Hills. The Munros are all done, so how about some Corbetts and cycling and distilleries?

Previously - 19 2016 - 26 2017 - 17 2018 - 16 2019 - 24 2020 - 13, and 106 left, so over halfway. So about eight more years to go at this year's rate. Though being locked down has limited adventures this year. Took me to the 9th January this year to get up a hill - but great bike/hike up Meallach Mhor. Then it was 20th March before the second one, Meall a'Phubuill. And then we were in lockdown for three months. I finally managed to cycle over to the Ochils on the 25 June. It was painful, combined with my Campylobacter! In July I finally hit the hills again, getting up Beinn a' Chrulaiste in Glen Coe and then Creag Mhor in the Cairngorms - a long one. In August we had a cycling sojourn to Ardnamurchan, and then when on holiday in Lairg I got up Ben Hee and Ben Loyal. And in September I got up The Fara one Saturday, and then cycled up Carn na Saobhaide on the Sunday with Mark, before heading home for a Sunday evening bath/whisky and some tea. Less than a fortnight later the forecast and timing worked for a walk up Creagan na Beinne, which was excellent. And to round of September I got a couple of nights camping in and did Beinn Enaiglar, Creag Rainich and Beinn a'Chaisteil, a great wee trip. Unfortunately after that Nicola restricted us to our Health Board Areas, so only managed another bike and hike up the Ochils in October. For about two weeks before Christmas we were free to roam but I only managed to get out once, up Meall na h-Aisre on Christmas Eve. |

All the Corbetts I have done :- |
||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| According to Mark's 1996 book there were 219 Corbetts, but I know Beinn a' Chlaidheimh was downgraded from a Munro in 2012 (after I had scaled it), and Sgurr nan Ceannaichean was downgraded in 2009 (one I still need to do). Wikipedia, Steven Fallon, Munro Magic and I therefore all agree 221 is the total number I have to do. | ||||
