Beinn a Bha'ach Ard - Hill of the High Byre
Cloudy start to the day, but ever-hopeful. |
For a bit I thought that was where I was going - wrong. |
Good tracks on the way in, if a bit boring. |
But made for good progress. |
Glimmer of sunshine - time to hit the hill. |
Distant deer - saw no-one else up here. |
Bit of a fogbow, but not for long. |
As I arrived on the shoulder of the hill I came out of the clouds - fantastic. |
Explains why it was so dull lower down. |
Looked even better from the summit. |
This is why I do this. |
Summit, with Sgurr a' Phollain behind. Time for some walking in sunshine. |
![]() From further along the ridge looking back |
Had to keep taking the pictures. |
Second summit, but as there hadn't been 500 foot drop from the first one this is not a Corbett. |
Reluctant to commit to the mist again |
Final look around above the clouds |
Another fogbow |
Quite impressive. |
And back into the mist and frost. |
Pity I only got to the sign as I was coming off the hill! |
