Sgurr Gaorsaic and home

Final day of the trip, and another winner
Day Three - 11 miles to Sgurr Gaorsaic (Horror Peak) and back to camp, and an easy 6 mile cycle back to the car.

Another fine morning to hit the hills.

Towards the Allt a' Ghlomach (Gloomy river)

Must be on the right road.

Path was quite exposed in places

The falls from afar.

Can't see much looking back.

And no sign of my hill.

Did I mention this was quite steep?

Gleann Gaorsaic, and the top of the falls.  Second highest in the UK apparently!

It is impossible to photograph all of the falls at once.

This sign is a bit late.

At the top, searching for Sgurr Gaorsaic.  It is in behind Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan

Finally Sgurr Gaorsaic appears on the right.

Approaching the bottom, around Loch Thuill Easaich.

View back down Gleann Gaorsaic.

Into Coire Thuill Easaich, looking over to Beinn Fhada

Another view north up Gleann Gaorsaic, with Sguman Coinntich far away on the left, Gaochaig in the middle, and Aonach Buidhe to the right. Great few days out.

Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan again,

From the top I could see right up Glen Affric, where there are lots of hills.

Beinn Fhada and some of the Five Sisters

Beinn Fhada, A'Ghlas bheinn and the rest of the world.

General summit plateau

One of the tops.

Coming back down, another view of Gleann Gaorsaic.  Heading to the right round Meall Sguman rather than back down by the Falls of Glomach, for a wee change.

Looking back up the hill
The Allt Thuill Easaich looking splendid.

And back on the flat, with a final look at the hill before it disappears.

Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan again.

Meall Sguman I guess.  It's "just" a Marylin apparently.

Another final glance, Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan with Sgurr Gaorsaic behind, and Beinn Fhada behind that, and A'Ghlas bheinn on the right.

After a slight wander I found the track down to Glen Elchaig

And looking back at said path after getting down.

Is this not pretty?  Just a short mile back to the tent now.

Loch na Leatreach, looking down Glen Elchaig.

All packed up and ready to hit the track back to the car.  Great outing.
