Glas Bheinn (Grey Hill)

With company!

Managed to set off from the Quinag carpark - an inauspicious start.  Quinag behind

After a rough haul across the moor we hit the steep ascent.

Barely up any height, and already Quinag peaks looking most impressive.

And there is the proper carpark, on the right where the track meets the road.  Oh well.

Did I mention it was pretty steep?

Having fun.

Sorry, but Quinag was just very photogenic.

Not everything was so photogenic!

Looking north, over Loch na Gainmhich, Loch Glencoul and Loch a'Chainn Bhain out to Eddrachillis Bay.  Lovely day.

Nearing the summit plateau, looking to Quihag yet again.

And over Loch Assynt to Suliven, with Cul Mor in the distance.

It was a little cooler the higher we got.

And what lies ahead of us now.  Pretty easy going.

Loch Assynt and Inchnadamph

This is the business.

And sight of the summit cairn at last.

Cairn marking the cliff edge.  But what a view.

And the summit cairn.

Ben More Assynt and Conival behind

Grand spot for lunch.

Guess that's Canisp.

And back down we go.

That steep bit again.

Last look at Glas Bheinn.

And back to the correct carpark to pick up Sharon.  Good walk.
