Mullach Froach choire scaled this time, along with a second climb over A'Chralaig.

Absolutely fantastic views again, and even more sunshine, but I think the good weather is coming to an end.  No snow on the ridge this time.

Here we go again, second time up A'Chralaig in twenty three days.

It was still a long climb up.

But worth the effort - looking West with the tail end of the South Glen Shiel Ridge on the far left, then round to Aonach Meadhoin on the middle left. In front is Am Bathach that we went over yesterday
when we went up Ciste Dhubh, the one on the right in front of Beinn Fhada off in the distance.  The far away peaks in the middle are the highest of the Five Sisters.  Done them all.

On the left the top of A'Chralaig, getting closer, and in the middle an early sighting of Mullach Fraoch choire, still with some snow - which was what turned me back last time.  Behind that the Mam Sodhail
 and the Glen Affric hills
.

Another look South and West, SGSR beyond Loch Cluanie starting on the left, all of the ridge we did two days ago (the closer three peaks in the middle/right, behind that in the distance some Five
Sisters, and in front the small Am Bathach ridge we nipped over yesterday.

Top of A'Chralaig, less snow than last time.

From the top, looking West, on the right is Ciste Dhubh and behind that Beinn Fhada and to the right A'Ghlas Beinn.  In the distance are the Five Sisters, and in front of those coming left are Saileag,
Sgurr a'Bhealaich Dearg and Aonach Meadhoin
.  Behind those is the South Glen Shiel Ridge (of course).

To the East a good view of  Sgurr nen Conbhairean, and the ridge along to Sal Chaorainn.  Glen Affric just getting in on the picture on the left.  This is what I got out of bed for.

Looking back to the top of A'Chralaig from along the ridge.

And the route still to go, over the ridge on the left then turn right, down and up, before turning North
again up the ridge sticking up over there.

Another look back to A'Chralaig.

Mullach Froach choire getting closer, I remember now the ridge was quite slender!   And the wind decided to gust just to make me feel safer as I went up that!

Another look back, having crossed the ridge, ready to start the final climb.

And this is the final climb, all the way up there.

This is the bit that was covered in snow the last time, and as far as I got.  Looking at the path I think
that turning back then was for the best.

The path was delightful.  Not my favourite bit!

Another look back, as far as the top of A'Chralaig.

A similar one to the above, couldn't decide which one to take out.

Nearly 360° from the top of Mullach Froach choire, starting on the left in the South East with Sgurr nan Conbhairean, then A'Chralaig, SGSR behind and Ciste Dhubh in the middle, then Beinn Fhada, and Sgurr nan Ceathreambnan to the left of the smoke, then down Glen Affric, and finally the ridge up to Sal Chaorainn, though the picture is a bit corrupt in that area.

And the same thing but only from the South East round to the South West.

And from the top looking West to Ciste Dhubh looking quite small down there, and to the centre Beinn Fhada, with Sgurr nan Ceathreambnan on the right.  On the left are Aonach Meadhoin and
Sgurr a'Bhealaich Dhearg

North to An Socah and on the right Glen Affric, and above that Sgurr na Lapaich and to it's left Mam Sodhail and Carn Eige.  Above the smoke I think that is Tom a'Choinich, and maybe Toll Creagach?

Couldn't let this pass without a look East, to show the ridge running over Sal Chaorainn up to Sgurr nan Conbhairean, these were the first hills I did after being released from work.

So time to head for home, thankfully not back over A'Chralaig, but I do need to go over the ridge and top over there before dropping down to An Caorann Mor (avoiding the worst of the bog this time)

Finally felt safe enough to take a look back up the hill

But still got this to go.

A'Chralaig

And the ridge back to Ghlas thuill

Another look back at Mullach Froach choire

Descending into Coire a'Ghlas-thuill, looking to Ciste Dhubh on the right, Sgurr a'Bhealaich in the middle, Aonach Meadhoin on its left, with Am Bathach in front on the left.

Final look up An Caorann Mor to Ciste Dhubh on the left, before dropping down to the car.
