Sgurr Chonnich Mor

My first Grey Corrie, but not the last I hope

Sunday morning, Glen Nevis campsite.  Sore head not pictured.

This is more like it.  Heading up Glen Nevis, and what a waterfall.  And I think that's An Garbhanach at the back.

On we go, the back of Aonach Beag on the left, and our hill in the middle.

Last view of the waterfall and the mountain rescue hut.

Binnein Beag and Binnein Mor from the North side of Glen Nevis

Mountain rescue hut still visible.  How reassuring.

An Garbhanach from the other side, with Sgurr a'Mhaim behind it.

Chilling out.

Up the side of Sgurr Chonnich Beag, with our hill in the mist above

Across the valley we have Binnein Mor on the left, and An Garbhanach on the right - impressive.

The top clears of mist.  Great day after that one wee shower.

Bealach between Beag and Mor - time to get jumpered up as it was getting windy.  Aonoch Beag and Mor make an impressive backdrop.

Sgurr Eilde Mor, Binnein Beag and Mor and Na Gruagaichean also made a nice backdrop.  And to think we did all four in one day!

The final ascent, looking down towards Spean Bridge, and the head of Loch Lochy.

Looking South East down the Abhainn Rath, with a touch of Blackwater Reservoir in the distance, round to the South and the Mamores.  Sorry about the dodgy joins.

Aonach Beag and Mor from the top.

North east to Stob Coire Easain and more Grey Corries - for another day.

Oh those Mamores.

And then we had to go all the way back to the car, but what a view.  Western Mamores and start of Aonach Beag on the right.

Farewell Sgurr Choinnich Mor

Even more Mamores.

And back on the (nearly) flat, just that three or four mile walk back to the car.
