Fantastic views, great walk, and all that

After my day up Stob Dubh I had to come out of Glen Etive as the road was closed going further down, so I came up with these two hills as an alternative, having been across the road from them last week.

But first a snap of the Pap of Glencoe, the Aonach Eagach Ridge, and Bidean Nam Bain/Glencoe

Heading up the road looking to Meall Lighiche which I lost all my pictures of.

Then a brutal ascent, realised afterwards that most people come down rather than up this!  Still Glencoe looking amazing

As was the Pap of Glencoe and the ridge

Get a good bit of height quickly on a steep ascent.

View across to Sgur na h Ulaidh

More Glencoe

Surely that isn't the top, after all this hard work?

It was.  Hard work mostly done.

View down Loch Leven

Second peak just poking out on the left.  That big ridge is Beinn a Bheithir - Sgorr Dhonuill and Sgorr Dhearg

Can see the ridge of Sgurr a Choice now.

No need to go along all of it, just head for the bealach

Sgur na h Ulaidh

And the last bit of ascent.  It was nice and rocky up there.

Made it.  Beinn a Bheithir - Sgorr Dhonuill and Sgorr Dhearg slightly closer

Summit ridge

Off to the South West

View back to Meal Mor and the Aonach Eagach

Pap of Glencoe etc.  Mamores in the background

The way home

Weather getting slightly less bright
