Glas Bheinn, Garbh Bheinn and Meall Lighiche.

Plus camping at Kinlochleven and Glen Coe

First May weekend holiday weekend, so a drive up to Kinlochleven on a Friday night turned out to be just the thing.  Great beer.

Bit of dinner, and sorted

Then next day wasn't quite as good as I had hoped , but a good view of the Pap of Glencoe.

Got a bit wandered trying to find the path out, but at least I got some nice pics of Kinlochleven!

Pap of Glencoe with Meall Garbh to the left, my next conquest for the day.  On the right is Mam na gualainn which I did some time ago as part of the West Highland Way.

It was a long pull up to Loch  Eilde Mor, with Sgur Eilde Mor behind.  Glas Bheinn on the right, looking suitably dull!

While the walk was not too exciting, and rather long and all that, there was a smashing view from the top.  From the left we have the Blackwater Reservoir with the Glen Coe mountains behind,
coming round to Loch Eilde Mor and Kinlochleven in the middle, and the Mamores to their right.  And way off on the right is Loch Treig.  Too many hills to begin listing.

Here is the first half of the above, where I think we can make out Beinn Achaladair and Beinn a Chreachain way off, with possibly Creise and then Buchaille Etive Mor, then the back of the
Aonach Eagach ridge  before Meall Garbh and Loch Leven.

And a closer look at the Mamores - from center going left are Sgurr Eilde Mor, Binnein Mor and Na Gruagaichean, a great day out. And some Sgur Choinnich Mhor in the background too.

And an actual cairn at the top too.

View up Loch Eilhe Mor to the Loch Treig hills.

Back down to the foot of Loch Eilde Mor, looking East to Glas Bheinn.  Quite a long walk.

Heading back to Kinlochleven - time for the big descent.

An hour or so later, and time to head up Meall Garbh, a quick stroll before tea.

Kinlochleven from this hill.

Could even see Kinlochleven.

Start of the descent.

And Sunday morning - off up Meall Lighiche for my final challenge.

Another side of the Aonach Eagach.  Somehow lost the rest of the pictures for this trip, but they were just hills anyway.
