Fannich Forest Munros - Three glorious days away

DAY THREE
   Day One                                                                                                  Day Two

Yes, there was ice inside as well as outside the tent this morning.

Still a beautiful start to the day (and a good bit earlier than yesterday).

8:15am, looking down Loch a'Bhraoin towards Slioch in the distance - lovely start to the day

Starting to climb the Leitir Fhearna, looking over Allt Breabaig to Meall a'Chrasgaidh on the left, Sgurr Mor behind, Sgurr nan Clach Geala and off on the right Sgurr nan Each.  Done those.

And looking back down to Loch a'Bhraoin, with An Teallach behind.  My tent is down on the right near the river to the left of the trees

At the top of the cliffs, Sgurr Breac on the left (and Sgurr nan Each way off in the distance), and A'Chailleach on the right of the Druim Reidh ridge.  Further right are the Fisherfields and An Teallach - what a hill!

Torran Coinnich on the left, which sits between the two munros.  Route heads to the beleach.  A'Chailleach on the right

From near the top of Torran Connich for the first time, looking East to Sgurr Breac and Sgurr nan Clach Geala.

And looking West to A'Chailleach.  Guess what, you can see the Fisherfield and An Teallach behind!

Four minutes from the top of Sgurr Breac, looking back to my campsite, and the A832.

The top of Sgurr Breac, and the mist came down.

Down out of the mist, looking back to the summit

And about ten minutes later, looking the other way, A'Chailleach out of the mist

Loch Fannich

Loch Toll an Lochain, with Druim Reidh behind.  Yes, An Teallach is over there on the left.

From the same spot looking East over Torran Coinnich to Sgurr Breac, now clear of the clouds!

Top of A'Chailleach.  From the right we can see An Teallach (what a surprise), then the Fisherfields, and straight down the ridge is Slioch.

Clouds obscuring the tops, but quite a sight all the same, all the hills I have been on this week.

View North - hills still to be sorted out.  Loch a'Bhraoin in front.

Druim Reidh again, with the path almost visible through the scree.  All those hills in the background.

Eventually found the path, after being all over the scree slopes (too high as it turned out).

Yes, it is An Teallach

Nice view of hills to the North, Meall a'Chrasgaidh, Sgurr Mor, Sgurr nan Clach Geala, Sgurr nan Each and Sgurr Breac.  What a great few days.

A'Chailleach, beleach and Torran Coinnich.  Seemed a shame to head down the hill when the weather was like this.  And in the right hand corner is Sgurr Ban in the Fisherfield Forest.

Just time for another look at An Teallach

And a close up for good measure.

Opps, another one, with poor little Beinn a'Chlaidheimh on the left, no longer a Fisherfield munro.  Still looks big to me

More Fisherfields - Beinn a'Chlaidheimh now on the right, then Sgur Ban, Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair and Beinn Tarsuinn.  To the left is Slioch.  What a place.

And back to this weeks hills, five in a row (almost)

Nearly home, looking back to the first days hills on the left, and today's in the middle.  Fair chuffed.
