Stob Coire Sgriodian and Chno Dearg

We aren't scared by a bit of rain!

Found a place to park, and off we went.   This is the start of Sron na Garbh-bheinne,

which guards Stob Coire Sgriodian.  The waterfalls were doing well.

A brief reprise from the wet.  Looking back across Glen Spean toward Beinn Teallach?

Nearly on top of our first and steepest challenge, Sron na Garbh-bheinne.  Loch Trieg just visible down there and presumably that is Beinn Chlianaig in the background - not a munro but quite big.

Almost caught a glimpse of Stob a' Choire Mheadhoin on the other side of Loch Trieg through the rain.

Steep and wet, what a combination

Not really brightening up, unfortunately

Told you.

The summit of Stob Coire Sgriodian.  We spent less time here than you did reading this.  It wasn't very nice!

This is more like it, though sadly this is just a top at 960m, reached after scaling the munro.

Finally the mist cleared, and we could find out just where we were.

Lo and behold, we had come the right way, and that is Chno Dearg, the next hill.

Just come down from the right to this bealach between the hills, too misty to make out too much.  Beinn na Lap is out there somewhere too.

Almost a view of the cliff below Meall Garbh.  That is more likely to be Beinn na Lap in the background this time!

And almost a view of Stob Coire Sgriodian,  it was one of those sort of days.

Top of Chno Dearg, not much of a hill, but we did it.

Up Loch Laggan, as they say.

The way home.  Car is down there in the trees.

It did clear up a bit eventually.  Loch Laggan with Lochan na H-Earba on the right, and Creag Meagaidh on the left.

And to the right of Lochan na H-Earba we got a view of Creag Pitridh and Geal Charn that we climbed recently.

Another waterfall down the Allt Chaorach Mor

Final/only view of Sron na Garbh-bheinne.
