Meall Mor

Another Graham or Fiona.  Did the first/last 3 miles by bike, but still a decent hike

Thankfully the carpark wifi was not working, so saved myself £8 parking fee.  This is part way along the road after leaving the carpark.

My hill dead ahead, with Stob an Duibhe just to the right, and An Garadh, my final top.

Bike safely chained up I headed up the Geln Gyle track

Then up the bracken infested hillside - very hard going too.

Could find no discernable track, must be a nightmare in the summer.

It did rise quite steeply

After the bracken there was still a lot of crags to wend through.  But a good view of Loch Katrine.

And finally a first sight of the top - not much to see really!

However from the ridge there were good views of Beinn Chabhair, An Caisteal , and Beinn a' Chroin and Beinn Tulaichean.

And Loch Katrine from the summit.

Looking down Glen Voil? with my next Graham Top ahead, and behind that Stob a Choin

And Loch Katrine to the north.

Stob an Duibhe initially looked quite daunting, but it was fine.  And then I will head along the "ridge" to the right - felt a lot more like and ascent!

And here we are - summit #2, looking back to Meall Mor

Stob a Choin again.

And An Garadh - the last top for the day.

Getting closer

Glen Voil again

Strange bed shaped rock - any excuse for a pause.

Final top, looking back to the first two.

More hills

Started getting cold, with a flurry of snow - time to head down.

Found a track making it much easier, though it went the wrong way, leaving 1.5 miles on the road back to the bike.

Bike down there near the end of the loch.

But pretty.

I liked the trees and the light and water.  Art?

Then a cycle back to Stronachlachar, and a look down the Loch

Farewell hills.  Another Graham done.
