Driesh and Mayar, up Glen Clova

This is what it's all about

After our first couple of miles up Glen Clova we worked out we should be up Glen Doll, so we had a nice stroll back down the riverside to try again.

Through the fence we caught a glimpse of the shoulder of our second hill, Mayar.

Heading up the track from Glen Doll, definitely in the right direction this time.

Towards the col between the hills.

Looking back down to Glen Doll...

..and up towards the peak

The way we have come.  Pretty girls not pictured.

And the col, with Little Driesh on the left.

Up we go.  Mayar just off to the left, and the path we came up is down on the right.

High up, but somewhat flat. Somewhere back there is Tom Buidhe

The top of Driesh.

So much to see, I think this is North with Lochnagar on the left and others but who knows?

And up to Mayar - Driesh behind us.

I think we can see The Cairnwell on the right, and presumably Creag Leacach and Glas Maol to it's left, with Carn a'Gheoidh behind.  Or maybe this is just an excuse to link in some other pages?

Should mention this is the top of Mayar.  Rather flat country once you get up there, but still hard enough work.

And back down we go.

And that is your lot for that day.  No car bumps this time thankfully, (bill for the last time just over £1k!) and a lovely bit of the world if anyone is looking for a nice glen (if a fair haul from Central Belt).  And the pub was nice too.

Now how do I monetise all this to pay for the car?
