Glas Maol and Creag Leacach- No hidden paths
Lower car park, with Creag Leacach in the background. |
We set off from the higher carpark at the ski tows - not much action there today. |
Not a promising start, being overtaken by children! Just after the top of Meall Odhar. We are going up into the cloud, then right round the ridge on the right.
|
|
Cloud lifts and we can see Creag Leachach more clearly. |
And back to the Ski Centre, with The Cairnwell and Carn Aosda in the cloud. Small child now behind us. |
The top of Glas Maol, about an hour since we left the car. |
A well fenced path between the peaks. |
Things cleared up after
we came off that top. En route to Creag Leacach we could see
Glas Tulaichean (I
think), Carn a'Gheoidh, and The Cairnwell
on the right.
Look, Creag Leacach. |
Looking left into Glen Brighty. |
Ski centre on the right, hillwalker on the left. |
|
Looking back along the ridge to Glas Maol up there in the mist on the left. |
|
Fine view of Carn a'Gheoidh on the left, The Cairnwell, and Carn Aosda - done them. |
Top of Creag Leacach |
The viewNorth - The Cairnwell and Carn Aosda to the left, other hills in the middle, and Glas Maol on the right. |
|
The route we have come from Glas Maol |
|
Didn't seem right to reduce this any further- a vista. No idea what you can see, though The Cairnwell is in the middle, and our two hills of the day are on the right.
Some rocks. |
