The Stob - Nice easy name
![]() Decent day at the start of March, so I headed up to Loch Voil to do The Stob. Starting to climb from the Monachyle Hotel, looking over to Creag Mhor |
![]() But as I was about to hit the hill this didn't really help! |
![]() Looking down. Doesn't quite capture the steepness - don't attempt this in the snow. |
![]() Looking up didn't capture steepness either. |
![]() View north further up Monachyle Glen |
![]() Once up the steep bit there is still a long way to go - The Stob middle left. Monachyle Hotel bottom right. |
![]() Oh, now we can see the hotel, with Creag Mhor behind, and Stob a Choin to the right. |
![]() And still a way to go |
![]() More hills in the distance. |
![]() |
![]() Made it to a summit cairn. Now I need to go over that to get back. |
![]() To the west - Ben More? |
![]() Or maybe this one is Ben More? |
![]() Anyway it was all pretty. |
![]() Another summit - possibly Stob Caol? |
![]() Hills |
![]() Getting closer to home |
![]() Massive herd of deer almost pictured. They kept running away! |
![]() Nearing the end. Final descent. |
![]() It was very pretty though |
![]() Back to the flat, even prettier! |
