Beinn Eibhinn, Aonach Beag and Geal-charn

Epic, three hills and a view

Back at the start of that track again, across the River Spean.  But this time we had bikes!

Same track, but so much quicker.  On the way in we could see the usual suspects, Beinn a Chlachair on the right without snow,

and Creag Pitridh and Geal Charn on the left.

Fine spot for the tent.  Beinn Eibhinn just visible in the distance.

Camping under the shoulder of Beinn a Chlachair, with Creag Pitridh behind

Beer and whisky drunk, it's off to bed.

The sun is up, morning has broken (a while ago), and our hill is still under that cloud.

Bikes still there, time for breakfast.

And off we go.  That is the other side of Beinn a Chlachair, as we crossed the Alt Cam before the start of the real climb.

Onward and upward, as we start the serious business of getting up Sron an Fhuarain.  Behind us lies Glen Spean,

Beinn a Chlachair on the right, and in front of it the cliffs of Meall Nathrach.  Sounds like we're off to Mordor!

That's where we are going.

This may be the top of Beinn Eibhinn

Or this might be it?

Well one of them was the top.  Let's go on.

Ridge just descended from Eibhinn, or was this the way down?

Another look back at Eibhinn.

Back to Glen Spean from the Beleach between Beinn Eibhinn and Aonach Beag.  Bikes and cars are away down there somewhere.

And the ascent to Aonach Beag, as the mist swirled

South to Ben Alder on the left and Beinn a Chumhainn on the right.

View back to Eibhinn from the top of Beag

Look, the cairn at the top

And then the mist cleared.  Beinn Eibhinn in all it's glory.  Just done that.

And looking North we can see Beinn a Chlachair on the left and Geal-charn in the middle.  We decided just to pop up that one too, how could we resist.

Geal-charn starts to loom up

Magnificent

After descending into the Alt Cam, a last look at Eibhinn before we round the bend and head for the bikes
