Maoile Lunndaidh

Fantastic views, great walk, and all that

Another cycle up the track from Craig, as for Sgurr Choinnich and Sgurr a Chaorachain, but this time I have accomodation too.  Looking North West to Beinn Liath Mhor or it might be Sgorr Ruadh (in the middle).

Sgurr Choinnich and Sgurr a Chaorachain.  Still to cycle up the track past them today.

And at the end of the good track, next to Glenuaig Lodge, a little hut for walkers, with two beds, electric light and heating!  Most impressive and tempting.

Glenuaig Lodge, and the view back down the Glen with the shoulder of Sgurr a Chaorachain on the left

And looking East down Gleann Fhiodhaig.  Not going down there.

So after looking West and East, to the South we see Maiole Lunndaidh on the left, and Bidean an Eoin Deirg (at the end of the ridge to Sgurr a Chaorachian) on the right. My route takes me up the central stream then up the hill, as recommended by a helpful ghillie.

And looking back to the lodge.

And up to the hill.

Fuar-tholl Mor.  This was just ace.

And another look back down to the lodge and down the glen to Pollan Buidhe.  Moruisg on the right.

At last, a view of almost the top of Maoile Lunndaidh

And from the top, you could see for miles.  I think this is looking North East towards Scardroy, but I could be wrong.

More hills from the top - South?

This one is definitely West, to Sgurr a Chaorachain

And North West to the peaks of Torridon

And a waterfall on the way down.

Sgurr a Chaorachain again, actually this is the Bidean an Eoin Deirg spur rather than the true summit

And back on the floor of the glen.  Just need to bike down the other end and climb up towards Bealach Bhearnais at the far end.

Looking the other way, along Gleann Fhiodhaig

Back at the lodge

Stopped at Pollan Buidhe for tea, saved carrying so much up the hill, and there was running water.

That is Maoile Lunndaidh way over there.

Didn't quite get to the bealach, but found a nice spot part way up.  View East to Maoile Lunndaidh

And to the South, Sgurr Choinnich

And not too far to the bealach in the morning, for my assualt on Bidein a'Choire Sheasgaich and Lurg Mhor
