Glas-charn

Grey-green hill.  Day one of two near Glenfinnan

A late start as my new car didn't arrive until 11:30am, but I still got up a hill.

Heading up the Allt Feith a'Chatha glen, same starting point as for Sgurr an Utha that I did some years ago on another trip to this part of the world.

View north

And a view south, where I have just come from.

Lots of rocky ridges to work round.

Gaining some height, looking west with Sgurr an Utha in front.

Geology time - wrapped rock formations.

And the summit, looking south.

Summit looking west.  A little hazy.

Summit looking south over Sgurr a'Mhuidhe that I am heading back over.  Looks simple from here.  And Sgurr an Utha on the left.

Tomorrow's hills over on the left.

Loch Beoraid, not a good way to go down.

Apparently the boy insisted Granny send this "cool" picture

Back to the hills.  It felt like there was a lot of up and down (mostly down) before getting to the second hill.

More geology.

Loch Eilt

Second top of the day.  Now just to get down and get a tent pitched.  As it turns out that is the way I am going to find a pitch.

More down and up

Looking up Loch Eil

Made it down.  First picture with my new motor.

And eventually got a pitch next to Loch Ailort - not sure I could find it again!  This was about the only level dry spot I could find.

Lovely spot though, apart from the midgies that you can see in this clip

Onto Day Two
