Cat Law and Corwharn

A couple of hills not too far from home.  The second one only recently re=promoted to a Fiona

Decided to park here rather than at the Balintore Castle entrance, to save some driving, and road walking at the end of the day.

Then opted to avoid the road anyway and go up the track

Balintore Castle - not so derelict then!

The long track up Cat Law, with the summit at then end.

Plenty of grouse moor.  Maybe the second hill on the left?

The trig point, but not the top!

I even used my map for a change.

I had a good wander about, to make sure I covered the highest point.

Now I can see Corwharn, on the left at the top of that track.  Doesn't look like four miles!  Behind that is Dreish

Lots of hills, and the long walk back from Corwharn

A defile down to Glen Uig

Beginning to appreciate it is four miles now.

Finally got over Tarapetmile (where do they get these names) and closer to the final ascent.

A wee lizard I came across.

On the upward path, a look back at Cat Law

The top - another one where the cairn isn't the highest point.

Big enough cairn though

And the ride I am going over to get back to the car, four miles off to the left.

On the way back I stopped for a picture of the daffodil fields - quite a sight.
