Cat Law and Corwharn
Decided to park here rather than at the Balintore Castle entrance, to save some driving, and road walking at the end of the day. |
Then opted to avoid the road anyway and go up the track |
Balintore Castle - not so derelict then! |
The long track up Cat Law, with the summit at then end. |
Plenty of grouse moor. Maybe the second hill on the left? |
The trig point, but not the top! |
I even used my map for a change. |
I had a good wander about, to make sure I covered the highest point. |
Now I can see Corwharn, on the left at the top of that track. Doesn't look like four miles! Behind that is Dreish |
![]() Lots of hills, and the long walk back from Corwharn |
A defile down to Glen Uig |
Beginning to appreciate it is four miles now. |
Finally got over Tarapetmile (where do they get these names) and closer to the final ascent. |
A wee lizard I came across. |
On the upward path, a look back at Cat Law |
The top - another one where the cairn isn't the highest point. |
Big enough cairn though |
And the ride I am going over to get back to the car, four miles off to the left. |
On the way back I stopped for a picture of the daffodil fields - quite a sight. |
