A second time up Ben More (for Alistair and me)

Fantastic views, great walk, and all that

Keen and eager, setting off from Benmore Farm.

The long way ahead

Before the going got tough.

Getting tougher

But rewarding already.  Look - more hills.  Above Crianlarich are Beinn Dubhcraig with Ben Oss behind

Now it was getting tough - so time for chocolate.   And a view of Meall Glas and Sgiath Chuil behind.

At last we reached the wall, but it was not only steep and snowy, but icy too.  The nice gentleman above us had by this time spooked the party
with talk of having to put your socks on outside your boots when it got difficult!

A happy punter.  Looking back up Strath Fillan, with Ben Lui on the left, and Ben Challum on the right.

Not bad?  Can now even see Creag Mhor behind Ben Challum.

And still the path goes higher

At last, a bit that wasn't just up on ice, now we have some rocks too.  And is that the top up there - no chance.

But this is the top.  Relief on everyone's face?

The party at the top.  Now some lunch, then we will have to work out how to get down!

Ohhhh yes.  This is what it is all about?

Stob Binnein, tempting but not for today.  With An Caisteal to the right, and so many more.  Ben Cruachan was visible earlier on too - what a smashing day.

To the East, Ben Vorlich and Stuc A'Chroin.  And we could see Grangemouth and the Pentlands.  Just gorgeous.

Down, down, down we go.  Nice view of the back of Cruach Ardrain and the Arrochar Alps.

Sandra is working on her scientific snow experiment - how did it go?

Descending into Benmore Glen from Bealach-eadar-dha Beinn.  But still we can see Ben Challum, and that may even be Beinn Dorain at the back - they all look the same!

Into the murk of the Glen, down a rather slippy and wet path - sorry about that guys, but it was a better alternative!

Ben More, and half a moon.  Just been up there!

Suitably impressed with our achievements.
