Ben Hope, the most northerly munro

Had hoped to do this and Ben Klibreck on the Friday, but the weather was not favourable, so another night camping and climbed Ben Hope on the Saturday.  This was a quick one though.

On the right route.

Ben Hope getting closer.  Almost had enough time to do this the same day as Ben Klibreck, but decided to take two days, and camp out another night.

Ben Hope, from further up Strath More.

And Ben Hope from the North - had some time to kill, so went in search of a pub.  Had to go to Tongue!

Campsite with Ben Hope behind.  This is the life (and no snow or ice today).

Reasonable path at the bottom, heading over that ridge then into the mist.

From top of the buttress looking back down into Strath Mor

Impressive ice falls

Views deteriorated!

Had to watch out for the cliffs, and wait for the mist to clear enough to work out where to go

Near the cliffs!

Summit cairn - views not quite what I had hoped for!

A glimpse of the world below.  I think that is the Atlantic Ocean out there.

Sun shining brightly (elsewhere!)

On the way down I had to rely on my compass, and only got wandered once!

And then back down the road (just five hours to go).  This is Dun Dornaigil, a nice broch next to Ben Hope.
