Carn Bhac and Beinn Iutharn Mhor
![]() Panorama from the top of Beinn Iutharn Mhor with my new phone. Not bad. Some Glen Tilt hills on the left, Caringorms in the middle, then Carn Bhac and the ridge home on the right. |
|
![]() After the wonders of Torridon, this seemed a bit tame, but it was a good bike in. |
![]() |
![]() So we are heading up Carn Bhac on the right first, then need to come right across this vista to climb Beinn Iutharn Mhor on the left. Some peat bog hopping involved, but even the hags were dry. |

![]() We cycled up Glen Ey on the left, to somewhere back down there, and then walked up here before heading off to the right across the glen to Beinn Iutharn Mhor, then back down to the bikes. I believe the pointy one in the middle is Carn a Gheoidh, and to it's left we have An Socach |

![]() The steep bit, with a view to The Devil's Point and Carn a'Mhaim in the Cairngorms. |

![]() And after that, just a stroll round the ridge to the summit |

![]() Looking West from the summit, towards Beinn A'Ghlo |
|
![]() And to the North, the mighty(?) Cairngorms. |
|
![]() And to the East, our route home, out to the end of the ridge then straight down to the bikes and home |
|
![]() Looking back to the summit from the end of the ridge |
![]() And down to the glen, bikes are down there at the green bit. |
