Sgurr Thuilm and Sgurr nan Coireachan
Looking back down Glen Finnan to the famous viaduct. |
And upwards to my first hill, in the cloud. |
Navigation is easy. |
![]() On the way up Sgurr Thuilm, looking back down Glen Finnan and over to the shoulder of Sgurr nan Coireachan on the right. |
![]() Approaching cloud level, Sgurr nan Coireachan refusing to come out of the cloud for a picture |
Approaching the summit of Sgurr Thuilm |
And at the top - wonderful view! |
![]() Along the ridge things didn't get much clearer |
![]() Finally a bit of clarity as I approached Beinn Gharbh on the way to the second munro |
![]() A look down Coire Thollaidh and Glen Finnan. Bike is at the end of the ridge, and munro still in the mist on the right. |
And looking to the North West, some water and other hills far away. And Sgurr nan Coireachan only just still in the mist |
![]() Loch Morar from near the top of Meall an Tarmahcain, another top on the ridge |
![]() View back up the ridge I have just traversed, with Sgurr Thuilm still in the mist as you would expect |
Top of Sgurr nan Coireachan. |
![]() On the way down, looking back to clouds. Makes it hard to identify any of those hills in the distance! |
![]() Here we see from left to right - Meall nan Tarmachain, Beinn Gharbh and in the mist Sgurr Thuilm. |
Bit of a view of Loch Shiel (nothing to do with Glen Shiel!) |
Still refusing to come out of the clouds, even after I have been there |
![]() And Sgurr Thuilm similarly kept covered up. Gulvain is up there on the right in the cloud. |
Last pic before descending back to bike and reality |
Another pic of that viaduct before going home. |
And that was the first day of the week. A reasonable start.
