Lairig Leacach Bothy Walk

Ok so we didn't actualy climb Stob Bain this time out, but we were late on the hill, Stuart had no boots, and it was snowy.  At least we didn't get caught in an avalanche and die.

No boots, a bummer!

Still off we go, up the track that leads to Corrour for the really energetic.  We are only going four miles but it seemed a lot longer.

Intrepid walkers, boots not pictured.

Cruach Innse - the girl with the diarrhoea did this one.  We didn't!

Sgurr Innse - we didn't do that one either.  Bothy just around the corner

What a b-ewe-tiful view

Bothy just around the corner! - Stob Ban finally sited

Another corner or so to go.

Lairig Leacach Bothy, with Stob Ban rising above it - for another day.

Looking back to where we go next.

Lunchtime - best place for miles around

Looking back on the way out - very pretty - that's Stob Coire na Ceannain at the start of the Grey Corries, again for another day.

Nearing the end

Aonach Mor

And relax

Healthy dinner after a hard days exertion.  Haggis, neaps and tatties, with a good red biddy and some Scottish wine to finish.

Note these links jump to You Tube- need to hit BACK button after that, unless someone can tell me how to programme that?

Clip of Toast to a Haggis done just before the pic on the left

Tam O'Shanter recitation that followed

After enjoying the biddy - Tam O'Shanter does go on rather!
