Glas Bheinn Mhor and Beinn nan Aighenan - 17 June 2001.

A Long Walk and a Long Day

Before the sun came on.  Our first munro is the one on the left

Looking back down the Alt Mheuran to Beinn Fhionnlaidh

The big greyish green hill still looks a long way off

Will the sun ever shine on that hill?

From the crest of the ridge, nearly there. Glen Etive on the right, and our second hill, Beinn nan Aighenan, on the left.

The first summit.  Ben Starav in the background.

Still at the top.  The sun shines on the righteous

Well at least we don't have to do Starav today.  So which way next?

And for a bigger version of this

Coming down the side of Meall nan Tri Tighearnan, Loch Tulla in the distance.

And then up there, the remote Beinn nan Aighenan

Are we really going away up there?

Made it to the top .  Number 49 for Mark.  He deserves a rest

We made it too.  Only about 5 miles to go home now, with a 150m climb to the bealach just for fun.

Looking down Loch Etive from Beinn nan Aighenan

Coming back down the Alt nam Meirleach.  It's much further than it looks.

Nearly home, looking back at Glas Bheinn Mhor

Done them.  Next?
