Ben Ledi and Benvane
What else to do on a Sunday in August, but head up Ben Ledi and Benvane? Stairway to heaven (?) on the way up from the South end of Loch Lubnaig - parking was horrendous! |
Starting to get a bit of a view - looking East to Dumyat. |
And the view back down to Loch Lubnaig, and Glen Ample (I had never heard of it either) and to the right Stuc a Chroin with Ben Vorlich behind. |
![]() Onto the ridge, with a view of loads, from Dumyat in the East (left) to presumably Meikle Bin in the West? |
Plenty of people up here. |
Cross, because this wasn't really the top! |
The top, looking west to the Arrochar Alps, Ben Venue, and Loch Katrine. |
And looking South East. |
Loch Lubnaig, and my eventual route home. |
Glen Finglas Reservoir, Ben Venue, etc. The Trossachs I guess? |
Looking back to the summit of Ben Ledi. |
![]() At last, the summit of Benvane. If this is typical of Corbetts I think I might give up - a boring old slog and not much to see except Ben Ledi! |
![]() The view west and north - hills! Not even going to try naming them. |
![]() Loch Lubnaig again, with Strathyre to the left and Stuc a' Chroin/Ben Vorlich in front. |
Glen Finglas Reservoir again. Boring. |
Ben Ledi - boring |
Benvane from Stuc Dhubh. Boring. |
