Beinn Odhar and Beinn Chaorach

A simple two hill adventure for the start of the New Year - Dun-coloured Hill and Sheep Hill.

Not sure why Tyndrum is called Clifton here?

First challenge, cross the railway line (easy) and the barbed wire fence (not quite so easy).  Reading the guide book it seems we should have just gone 350m north and through a tunnel!
Oh well.

Pretty steep from the off, climbing up from the A82.

Looking South to Tyndrum.

Looking north to Bridge of Orchy and the Black Mount, with Beinn Dorain on the right.

Waiting for the weather to lift a bit!  Looking down Strath Fillan

A Ptarmigan.

The impressive! summit cairn, and Beinn Dorian lurking behind.

Top of Loch Lyon just visible.

The big down and up to Beinn Chaorach.

Between the hills.

And up the other side.  Beinn Odhar now in the mist.

Day finally improving.  Beinn Odhar behind, and Beinn Dorain on the right.

Some big hill. - Challum I think?

First sight of the trig point on the top of Beinn Chaorach.

Magnificent.

Second hill done.  I think that i's Ben Challum?

Looking back to file:///C:/Users/DC/Documents/WebSite/index.htmlnorth to loads of hills.

And the descent to Strath Fillan.

Ben Dubhchraig, Ben Oss and Ben Lui all looking smart, with Beinn Chuirn on the right

Ben Challum, without a doubt.

Final view of Beinn Odhar

And a final shot of the hills to the south before we finished the day back at Dalrigh.  Great walk.
