A'Chailleach (leave the rest for another day).
After a relaxing meal and a shandy, some theraputic spill rolling before bed. |
|
Setting off from the road end, just outside Newtonmore. Looking West, back up Glen Banchor. |
Off we go up the track. So far so good. |
Some miles later we found the bothy we had contemplated spending last night in. Good decision not to, as I doubt we would have found it in the dark! |
Do we really have to go up there? |
Leaving the bothy behind we set off up the Alt a'Chaorainn, following someone's footsteps through the snow. |
Bothy getting smaller. |
The footsteps, before they stopped and turned back. |
Pushing on, we made our own footsteps. Stunning part of the world. |

Is that the top, or just a snowman? |
Definitely the top, no more up to go. |
Heading back down, one munro was enough for today |
